CO Testing

We have been the leaders in the industry for CO testing for 6 years. Our distributors have recognized us as the best qualified to test for CO and have also been asked to give seminars for various groups.

Things to know about CO

  1. Natural gas is the cleanest, safest and most efficient gas to burn.
  2. Furnaces should burn very little if any CO . When a furnace burns CO it is because of lack of maintenance not the fault of the furnace.

    Example: A 73 unit complex
Before making any adjustments we found an average of 764 PPM coming out of the furnace. After tuning, cleaning and correcting any problems we found the PPM had been reduced to 2.59 PPM Avg. per furnace.

OSHA and Questar states that a furnace should not be over 50 PPM.

  3. In order for a furnace to be a danger two factors must be present.
    1. Needs to burn CO
    2. There may be an escape route into living space (Cracked chamber)
If one of these factors exists 50% of the danger is in place

Ogden City requires every home to have at least 1 CO Meter. While there are several CO detectors to choose from, only Nighthawk has been rated the best over and over by homeowners, test labs and various publications. Why? No other detector gives you the features, quality, and value that Nighthawk does.

The number one feature that sets Nighthawk apart from other detectors is its unique digital display that gives you a continuous readout of CO levels from 7 to 999 parts per million. The digital display servers as a very sensitive early warning of low level CO presence, providing expanded protection for children and seniors or others at high risk.
