HVAC Installer

Rentmeister Total Home Service is looking for an experienced HVAC installer to join our Team! The lnstallation Technician reports to the lnstallation Manager and is responsible for performing a range of HVAC installation jobs for industrial, commercial, and residential customers as well as new construction.

Representative duties include:

  • Serving as a member of the lnstallation Department teams which are organized to conduct HVAC installation jobs in an efficient and Iimely manner.
  • Performing HVAC installation activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
  • Performing related duties as directed by the Installation Manager.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school graduate and graduate of a post-secondary HVAC program of instruction of two or more years in duration.
  • One or more years of successful and full-time HVAC experience, preferably in New Construction lnstallation
  • Good oral and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers' installation instructions and clearly communicate with residential, commercial, and industrial customers, suppliers, and other Rentmeister employees. . Physical ability to perform all duties noted above under the conditions, circumstances, and extreme weather conditions existent in (state).
  • lnterest and initiative in maintaining his/her HVAC skills through a combination of self-study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities.
  • Current Drivers license
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Ability to work efficiently given time pressures, non-standard schedule, and overtlme as needed
  • Complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Master Plumber

Rentmeister Total Home Service is currently accepting applications for a Licensed Master Plumber to join our team! We are looking for an energetic, outgoing, team player with knowledge in plumbing systems ranging from residential, commercial and industrial industries with new construction and service.

Position Summary:

The Plumbing Service Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the plumbing service department. This includes supervising plumbing technicians, the call center manager, and the service inventory control manager, all while ensuring quality service, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The role involves a combination of administrative, technical, fieldwork, and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Maintains current Master Plumbing license in accordance with governmental/state regulations.

  • Trouble shoot and perform residential plumbing repairs, service, and installation. . Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner. ldentifies potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
  • Explains and recommends our plumbing maintenance program to existing and potential customers.
  • lnstalls underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing.
  • Reviews blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures. lnterprets drawings and specifications to determlne layout requirements. Studies building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipe installations, and to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring.
  • Directs helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components, including residential service calls. . Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are being used, maintained, and properly accounted for.
  • Follows standard procedures and process, ensures that the company vehicle is properly stocked, returns defective warranty parts to branch, and orders/replenishes vehicle stock as needed.
  • Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
  • Bid and complete lobs as directed.
  • Participate in the plumbing on-call schedule, including weekends and after hours
  • Communicate effectively/professionally with customers and office personnel.
  • Complete work orders and collect payments from customers. . Directly supervises the Plumbing department, including New Construction lnstallers and Service Technicians. Will assist in scheduling work, both residential and commercial. . Manages and develops service staff to include recruiting, hiring, termination, discipline, scheduling, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, evaluating performance and directing work assignments to maximize production.
  • Provides coaching, feedback, and technical and communicalion training to all subordinates to increase performance.
  • Maintains/Builds strong working relationships with Builders, Subcontractors and Project Managers.
  • Must be dependable with a positive attitude.
  • Maintains compliance of licensing, permitting, and code requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with on-the-job and formal classroom training in plumbing work in construction, maintenance, commercial, and residential environments
  • Seven years' experience in plumbing repair, maintenance, and installatron in addition to on the-job training
  • Posses a current Master Plumbing license (Current knowledge of and continuing education in national, state, and local plumbing code regulations) . Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various plumbing projects.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools used in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, and other structures.
  • Working proficiency in basic mathematics and standard measurements
  • Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting problems with plumbing systems and equipment.
  • Famillar with the HVAC industry is preferred.
  • Must be willing to train plumbers/hvac in technical skills and company procedures.
  • Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed.
  • Ability to stand and walk and to climb ladders and attic stairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces. Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to the following: hot, cold, outdoor, indoor, dry, humid, slippery surfaces, heights, and congested areas.

Additional Requirements:

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Authorized to work in the U.S.

Must reside within 25 miles of company location.

Complete and pass drug screening and background check.

Comfort Advisor

Rentmeister Total Home Service is seeking an experienced and motivated Comfort Advisor to join our team. The Comfort Advisor position will consist of analyzing customer needs for HVAC systems equipment. The Comfort Advisor will creale a sales proposal, finalize the sale and follow up with each customer to ensure complete satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide customers with solutions for their HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other home comfort needs
  • Consult with potential and existing customers to provide a customized HVAC system solution including our maintenance program.
  • Follow-up with existing sales bids and leads to offer any additional information as needed to convert them into sales
  • Emphasize salable features, quotes, prices and credit terms and prepare sales orders forjobs sold
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Assist and attend company marketing events

Sheet Metal Worker

Rentmeister Total Home Service is seeking a Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator for our warehouse/shop. We are looking for someone who is interested in making HVAC a career! The ideal candidate would be willing to attend trade school for HVAC, and we will help you pay for it!

This an extremely physical labor position, usrng hand tools and machinery to bend, and cut sheet metal. You will be building sheet metal ductwork for New Construction Homes. The working environment in the shop can be very noisy at times, with loud machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build metal ductwork and fittings for HVAC Systems.
  • Use tools and machinery to bend, cut and shape sheet metal
  • Pull, sort and stage parts and material for jobs
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload sheet metal/material
  • Stock shelves
  • Run parts/metal/ductwork to job sites
  • Keep shop and warehouse clean and organized
  • Schedule and organize time and tasks efficiently, with strong attention to detail.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Prior sheet metal fabrication is preferred.
  • Dedicated and dependable
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
  • Communicate clearly,follow written and verbal directions
  • Able to operate various types of machinery including a brake press machine
